FAQs

HOW WILL YOU DECIDE WHAT SUPPORT I NEED?


Remember this is not something that is done to you, I will work with you. At the first session we will have an opportunity to get to know one another. You will have the time to discuss your concerns and we will explore your goals and the aims you want to achieve from therapy. You will get an understanding of how I intend to work with you to help you progress. You will get an insight into my working style and can ask any questions.  Should I believe my service is not appropriate for your needs, I will be pleased to recommend alternative sources of support and specialism.

 

HOW MANY COUNSELLING SESSIONS WILL I NEED?


Every individual’s circumstances and experiences are unique to them, and because of that there is no guide that says certain issues require a certain number of sessions.
I can give an indication of what might be achieved and how many sessions that might be, but we will review this together regularly. You will always be consulted and included in the process.

 

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?


A standard therapy session lasts 50 minutes – The frequency of sessions can be decided together after the initial consultation.

 

PAYMENT METHOD


Cash, online bank transfer and or by debit card are all suitable forms of payment. Full payment is due at the time of the appointment or beforehand if paying by bank transfer.

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY


Please give as much notice as you possibly can, if you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, where possible, please give a minimum of 24 hours. We all have unexpected circumstances and unforeseen circumstances, but not cancelling could prevent someone else in need of support being seen. Should last minute cancellation occur regularly then a deposit will be required to make future appointments.
